Bil Whitefeather

Bil Whitefeather has played the wooden Lakota-style flute for over 20 years in a variety of venues- with live bands at music festivals, solo in large halls, at weddings and at the bedside of terminally ill patients.  His style is reminiscent of the oldest traditional recordings known, and reverent in its mastery.  His solo release "Grandfather's Breath" was recorded live on a springtime hilltop in southern Indiana, and uses the influence of the world around him to play interactively with nature.  The title is a reference to the steam that rises in the sacred Inipi, where wisdom, peace and visions are sought.  Listen to the sample tracks, and see why Indyrok Media had to Capture his Music and Set it Free!
